The Road Trip. Our cross-country adventure. 11 States. 18 Days. A million photographs.
Packing up our lives and driving away from Los Angeles was like parachuting out of a plane: thrilling, terrifying, and overwhelmingly satisfying once you make the leap. We had imagined and planned for this moment for almost a year and it was finally happening.
We did it. We jumped.
And now we were free-falling into unknown territory with a sense of accomplishment, excitement, and hopeful anticipation.
We were fortunate enough to be able to take our time crossing the states, which made the journey East much more enjoyable. I did quite a bit of research beforehand, seeking out interesting places to stay, neighborhoods to explore, and most importantly, local cuisine to indulge in. But actually a lot of the "planning" happened in between destinations, from my co-pilot sanctuary in the passenger seat of Benny Hundos, Pete's beloved old Nissan Altima. Four years ago we drove Benny from Philly to LA together, and now we were driving him back home.
It was a very refreshing break from reality and daily routine.
Since uprooting our lives in early October it feels like we've been in constant motion (which is why it has taken so long to edit and organize all of the photos!), but now we are finally feeling settled in our new city and are very excited to share the story of our journey from LAX to NYC.
I have created a detailed post for every stop we made, so if you're interested, click on the links below to see our complete road trip adventures :)

And if we haven't said it already, thank you all for your love, support and encouragement through this transition. We truly couldn't have done it without you.
